Joshua is a story of faith.
How crazy do you think they felt on the 5th day marching around the city?
God made a statement that in hindsight was a promise to the people of Israel.
Joshua 6:2 “And the Lord said to Joshua, “See I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and might men of valor.
The rest of the chapter talks about what needed to happen to defeat Jericho.
The people of Israel marched around the city for seven days and on the 7th day they marched around seven times and the walls came tumbling down.
This is a promise that was fulfilled, but on day one it had to seem far fetched.
God knows that there are struggles ahead of us just like He knew there were struggles in front of Joshua and the Israelites.
Yet the Lord said, See I have given Jericho into your hand!”
It’s already their win if they were to follow His command.
God has already taken care of all our needs (not necessarily our greeds)
Put Him to the test and follow His lead and watch Him come through for you.
When you find a promise that God has made for us, His people, try Him.
He wants it that way so that we may build faith in Him and be a witness to others about how good He is
Give into God’s direction and let him make your life better than you could have imagined.
Watch how God will bless you by opening the windows of heaven until there is no more need.
