When was the last time you argued with someone?
No matter the answer, remember to be kind to yourself.
You’re human.
We all get into arguments about various things.
From sports to school safety
and finances to family members
Arguing is a big part of today’s world.
Most media we consume is about having an opinion that will bring attention.
Usually, the goal is to have others argue in the comments.
It’s all we do.
If you unlocked your phone, you’d see different opinions about what’s right or wrong
over any app that shares information.
Meanwhile, II Timothy 2:24 teaches us not to be quarrelsome.
“And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach,
patiently enduring evil.”
In addition to not being quarrelsome, it’s important to show patience and kindness.
This will show others an important characteristic of being like Christ.
The next time you are arguing with a loved one or a family member about something
you believe in, remember II Timothy 2:14 …not to quarrel about words, which does no
good, but only ruins the hearers.
Who are the hearers you might ask?
People who could be hearing the gospel for the first time or even the 10th.
God may be trying to use us to bring others to the truth.
Don’t let the devil use you by falling into his trap of a simple argument.
Trust in God.
He will always see us through.
